Last weekend I took a little trip to a country park just outside of the city I live in. It was such a sunny day it would have been a waste to spend it inside!
The park has a lot of places to walk around, including two reasonably sized lakes and a small, medieval re-enactment village where you can go into the little buildings are have a wander round. There's loads of ducks and swans on the lake that it makes it that little bit better seeing the wildlife.

Arrows on wooden stumps lead you on different length walks, it's easy to spend a few hours wandering around!
All around the lakes are little wooden paths so that you can really see the whole lake and not get lost along the way. Around the lakes are wooded areas and small grassy areas perfect for a sit down and a picnic, it was like walking through a fairy tale setting, haha.
It's bizarre that a place like this is just outside the city centre, lucky I guess. We spent a good few hours wandering round and taking photos of the scenery, it really was a lovely area.
Stuck in something like that wooden thing wouldn't be very pleasant. :D
