Mcfly concert – Memory Lane tour 2013

This month I was lucky enough to go to a concert that, whilst some may think it childish, I think is the BEST THING EVER. The band? Mcfly.

The Memory Lane tour marks 10 years since Mcfly became a band, and having been a fan of them ever since “5 Colours In Her Hair” was released (I was 8/9 at the time, and now I feel old), I was so excited and overwhelmed to see them in concert. I’ve seen them before a few years ago, but this was something else.

Before my beloved Mcfly took to the stage, two supports acts performed. The first being JAMES BOURNE (One third of the band Busted) which was just I can’t even. He sang a couple of his own songs which I enjoyed but then he sang “Year 3000” and a mixture of other Busted hits and I literally cried. Honestly, I cried.

Following James was a new band called “The Vamps” who seemed like really nice boys but I genuinely thought they were about 12. Turns out they’re 17/18 and well. They look like a lesser version of One Direction, but they seemed lovely! There were so many fan girls at the concert (also, about 12) that it was difficult to hear them speak over the screaming. But all the same, one song is still stuck in my head.

Then came Mcfly. The beauuuutiful band made up of Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Harry Judd, and Dougie Poynter. The stage setting was amazing, the lighting was amazing, the music was amazing, the clothes they were wearing were amazing (like seriously.) It was all amazing and I want to go back right now. Please. They’re all so funny and so talented that I could have stayed there all night long. It made me laugh so much when they asked who had been a fan for 10 years and the amount of fan girls there screamed in agreement to this, because really, when you were 2?! Ha.

I love Mcfly. End of.
