One book a week - week two!

So far my reading challenge is going well! Mind you, it's only the second week. I'm not sure I mentioned this in my last post, but I did in fact finish the book I was reading within the first week of January, so I'm on track!

For the second week, I chose Death Note again by Tsugumi Ohba, this time the second book in the Black Edition collection, and therefore the third and fourth volumes of the series. It's a manga series, the first I've ever read!

I didn't really introduce the book too well in my last post, so here's the blurb from the one I just finished; "Light Yagami is an ace student with great prospects--and he's bored out of his mind. But all that changes when he finds the Death Note, a notebook dropped by a rogue Shinigami death god. Any human whose name is written in the notebook dies, and now Light has vowed to use the power of the Death Note to rid the world of evil. But when criminals begin dropping dead, the authorities send the legendary detective L to track down the killer. With L hot on his heels, will Light lose sight of his noble goal...or his life?"

I really enjoyed the second book! I think it's so clever, every time you think you're getting close to the big reveal and BAM. Plot twist. It's great. I can't decide whether I like Light or L more... I don't think either of them are too loveable to be honest! I think Ryuk is so funny though; sassy, really. I don't want to give a whole review on it, but I'd love it if anyone wanted to have a little discussion with me about it, please feel free!
